A successful photo shoot is always the result of meticulous planning by the group of wedding suppliers who collaborate together and work extremely hard to make the magic happen. But what goes on at a shoot? I would like to share a brief behind the scenes glimpse of the wedding experts hard at work; these are just a few snaps taken from my phone on the day.
Having met at a wedding fair and each admired the others products and services it took a month for us to pull all the pieces together. Early on one cold February morning we gathered at Pimhill Barn, a lovely wedding and events venue just outside Shrewsbury for our photo shoot.Pimhill Barn
The oak timbered barn dates back to the 1580’s and is the perfect space to decorate in your own style. Deborah, Samantha and their team from Perfectly Unique Occasions styled a number of breath-taking venue looks; each one totally different but utterly beautiful.Perfectly Unique Occasions
While the barn was being dressed, hair stylist Hayley Rushie, make-up artist Kate Lambie and I were busy preparing model Elisha. The beautiful tulle overlay wedding dress with diamante embellished lace bodice had been especially hand-picked by Suzanne Heavens owner of Heavenly Brides and Belles for the shoot.Heavenly Brides and Belles
Kate opted for a soft peachy pink make-up colour pallet and natural look to compliment the loose plaited half-up hair style with tumbling curls created by Hayley who is a wedding hair specialist.
With everything prepared, photographer James from JOL Photography took charge. With him directing model Elisha, the shoot itself swung into action like a well-oiled machine. We all worked together; changing the wedding hair accessories and bridal jewellery, touching up the make-up, adjusting the model’s hair as needed and helping to alter the venue styling to create the different looks.
The official shoot photographs will be shared fully later. From what I have seen of James’ photos though we are all in for an amazing treat packed with inspiration for a perfect wedding.
