Imagine how wonderful it is to wear a headpiece at your own wedding that has been lovingly hand made just for you using the most gorgeous things. This was made even more special for one bride-to-be when she asked me to create her bridal vine using surplus lace from her own wedding dress.

She booked an accessory styling appointment with me and immediately fell in love with the shape and design of the Esme Hairvine. This bestselling lace hair vine is hand embellished with luxurious pearls and dainty diamante.

Pieces from the bridal lace were carefully cut out and the jigsaw assembly process started using the pattern template of the Esme vine as a guide.

Finally I was happy with the lace design and emailed a snap shot to the bride-to-be for her approval. After her reply “That is looking FANTASTIC”; the delicate process of handsewing each lace piece to the backing material using the tiniest stiches began.

The lace was then exquisitely embellished using pretty ivory freshwater pearls, dainty diamante and delicate silver seed beads. The bride-to-be was thrilled that I even managed to incorporate some of the tiny glass beads and silvery sequins salvaged from her lace fabric.

The fine wire supports and pinning points were carefully sown onto the back; these allow the bridal headpiece to be gently bent to fit your head and hair style.

The bride-to-be completed her elegant wedding day look by adding a pair of Anya Earrings and a matching Anya Bracelet. These were made using the same pearls and crystals as in her headpiece.

When she called to collect her wedding accessories the bride-to-be was totally lost for words before saying how perfect it was. I can’t wait to see her wedding photos later this summer; she’s going to look so elegant.
