blue and gold winter wedding with celestial elements
Taking the winters’ night sky as inspiration, I was privileged to join a wonderful team of like-minded female wedding suppliers for a styled shoot. Our fabulous location for the day was the outstanding Redbank Barn wedding venue near Hereford. This unusual barn is packed with rustic details and flooded with natural light making it a perfect wedding venue whatever the weather.
winters night wedding styling inspiration
Midnight blue with a sprinkling of gold celestial elements was the super stylish wedding theme for the shoot.
Rustic tables decorated with antlers, contorted twigs and fir cones interspersed by tall tapered gold candles, along with benches draped with sheepskins gave a luxury look to the barn. Dark blue crockery with modern gold cutlery completed the table dressing.
Elegant Blue and gold wedding stationery set the theme giving an idea of the shoot styling ahead.
Blue and gold stacked geode wedding cake
A stunning dark blue stacked geode wedding cake with an exposed crystal interior that twinkled under the soft winter lights added a dramatic feel to the shoot.
winter wedding bouquets and florals
The midnight blue winters’ night theme was contrasted with floral arrangements and wedding bouquets in rich reds, soft green foliage and pretty pale gold grasses.
winter wedding bridal looks
Two very different Celestial and Starburst bridal looks were created for the photoshoot; one focussed on the nights sky with moon and star themed bridal accessories, the other on a bespoke sunburst crown.
celestial tiara and earrings
A stunning fit and flare lace wedding dress with an illusion neckline was teamed firstly with a rich blue feather bolero and then a denim jacket with astronomical symbols painted on the back.
Reflecting the starry night sky idea I added my statement Celestial Tiara and matching Celestial Earrings.
The light and airy star designs in pale gold shimmered beautifully.
Sunburst bridal crown
An elegant off the shoulder lace bodice wedding dress with a twinkling net overlay full skirt gave a soft romantic look. The Sunburst Tiara with its hand woven bead rays looked spectacular on the model bride; with her hair worn down in tumbling curls and a soft veil billowing behind.
The model’s eyes were highlighted with dark blue eyeshadow which with the golden bridal crown echoed the blue tweed suit and gold tie and pocket handkerchief worn by her model groom.
Luna bridal earrings
A constellation themed wedding shoot would not be complete without the moon. I created my Luna Earrings to complete the celestial theme. These bridal earrings with their golden half-moons, cascades of sparkling diamante and freshwater pearls added the perfect finishing statement touch
Celestial and constellation styled bridal accessories are becoming one of the must have wedding trends, especially when a couple’s love for each other is written in the stars. Combined with dark blue wedding styling this shoot was definitely a match made in heaven.
