    Thank you for visiting our website. We’re sure you’ll find it easy to use and a great place to shop for designer wedding jewellery, bridal accessories, glass bead and gemstone jewellery.

    As an Internet Merchant and in law we are required to set out various terms and conditions of use. So this section, albeit a little heavy, will provide you with all the information you need in using our website and in placing an order with Julieann.     In using this site and in placing an order with us, you acknowledge and agree that these Terms and Conditions, together with our privacy policy, constitute the complete and exclusive agreement between us. Please note that these Terms and Conditions cannot be varied except by changes made by us on the Website which we may make from time to time.

    Please note that items from our Bridal range are made to order and we aim to dispatch these within 14 to 21 days. Please contact us if your requirement is more urgent. We can often make and dispatch super-urgent items to arrive in time.

    We aim to dispatch orders from our Jewellery range within 48 hours of receipt of payment. 


    We dispatch internet orders Monday to Friday between 9am and 4:30pm. Any orders received outside these hours will be processed on the next working day.

    Most of the glass beads used in our Fashion Jewellery range are handmade so we cannot guarantee future stocks of a particular design. There may also be small variations in size or colour of items. This is normal for handmade products and, in our view, adds to the charm and uniqueness of each piece.

    Our software should prevent ordering of items that are out of stock. If you do order an item that we do not have in stock we will contact you by e-mail to let you know. We will also let you know when to expect your order to arrive. If you prefer not to wait please let us know and we will cancel the order and refund your payment. In no circumstances will we be liable to you for any additional amounts.

    We reserve the right to change the prices and availability on this website without prior notice. We do not currently charge VAT.

    We must receive payment in full for your order before it can be accepted. Once your credit/debit card has been authorised and the stock has been checked, we will send you an email receipt confirming your order. Please keep this receipt for your records.

    If, by mistake, we have underpriced an item, we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price, provided that we notify you before we dispatch the item to you. In these circumstances, we will notify the correct price to you so you can decide whether or not to proceed with the order.

    By placing an order with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed these Terms and Conditions. None of these Terms and Conditions affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

    If an item is returned to us because no-one was there to receive it, and it has not been collected from the post office within the time stated on their card, we will ask you to pay the relevant postage charge for us to re-send it.

    Please note that we may need to charge a little extra for making jewellery that is larger than that shown on the website.

    We reserve the right to refuse to supply to any person for whatever reason. We also reserve the right to withdraw any goods from the website at any time and/or remove or edit any materials or content on the website. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our: withdrawing of any goods from the website whether or not such goods have been sold; removing or editing content on the website, or, refusing to process a transaction or unwinding or suspending any transaction after processing has begun.

    We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the website as up to date as possible, the information, including product descriptions, appearing on the website at a particular time may not always reflect the position exactly at the moment you place an order.

    Payment can be made using credit or debit cards from all major providers online via our secure and independent payment facility or via PayPal. All transactions take place over secure servers and all details are encrypted. No banking details are ever held in clear text on any website nor are they seen or held by us. When you place an order with Julieann you are transferred out of our site to a Secure Site operated by either Paypal or Stripe.

    You can choose which to use - your payment details are entered either through your Paypal account or via our Stripe payment gateway. Stripe is a secure global payment business operating in 23 countries worldwide. The company is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level of banking certification. Their priority is to ensure that transaction data is handled in a safe and secure way. All sensitive data is secured using internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards and they are regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure that their systems are impenetrable.

    In addition, all sessions on our site are secure and encrypted. You will see https:// in the web address, and/or when you see the locked padlock symbol alongside the URL.

    So when buying through our site, you can be sure that you are completely protected.

    Please note that we reserve the right to cancel any order at any time if the payment and/or delivery details provided by the customer are not legitimate and/or the transaction is not authorised by the bank.

    We retain legal ownership of the goods until full payment has been made by you and such payment has been received by us. Legal ownership of the goods will immediately revert to us if we refund any such payment to you.

    We will ensure that all orders are processed as quickly as possible. Postage and packaging costs are free of charge for all UK addresses.  On orders less than £30 we use Standard Second Class with Proof of Posting. For items between £30.01 and £75 in value we use  Royal Mail Second Class Signed For Confirmed Delivery. For orders over £75 we use Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm next working day. Signed for and Special Delivery require a signature upon receipt. If you are not in to sign for your delivery, Royal Mail will leave a telephone number for you to call to make alternative arrangements. If you fail to make alternative arrangements with Royal Mail (within a week for Special Delivery and within 3 weeks for Signed For) then the items will be returned to us. We reserve the right to charge postage and packaging for re-delivery to you.

    All of these options are packaged in our luxurious branded gift boxes.

    If your order is urgent, it is very important that you contact us to ensure that we can make and dispatch your jewellery. We are extremely busy during the peak wedding season and in the run up to Christmas and we would hate to disappoint you.

    We will deliver the goods in accordance with the options outlined above.  If you experience a problem with receipt of your order please contact us and we will do our best to help you trace it. Julieann will provide you with the Royal Mail tracking number (where appropriate) so that you can contact Royal Mail. In the event of a non-delivery, we can only replace or refund the order after 20 working days when Royal Mail will confirm that the parcel is lost. We cannot be held responsible for late or lost items.

    We cannot guarantee that the sale of our goods to your particular country or location is permissible, so please be aware of your own geographic import restrictions. The website and its contents will not constitute the basis for any contractual commitment between us and any prospective customer in any jurisdiction in which the solicitation of interest or the offering of or sale of products by Julieann would contravene any applicable local, regional or national legislation. No prospective customer should seek to make any order through the website from jurisdictions in which it would be illegal for us to sell products.

    Any timescales quoted to you are indicative only and orders may arrive in one or more lots.

    Please note that  we cannot accept any liability whatsoever for delays caused by any third party. Risk in the goods will pass to you upon delivery.

    We want you to be completely happy with your purchase. We take great pride in our reputation for quality and service and we want you to be delighted every time you shop with us. Occasionally though, we know you may want to return items.

    We really hope that you will be delighted with your purchase but if for any reason we fail to meet your expectations, you may return or exchange your jewellery within 14 days of receipt.

    Under the UK Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 as amended you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item within a period of 14 working days, beginning the day after delivery to you. If no such action is taken, we shall not be obliged to accept any rejection of the goods at a later date. However, at our discretion we may offer an exchange of goods for items returned after 14 days but before 28 days. We will let you know when we have received the jewellery and you will receive an email confirmation for your exchange. You may be charged postage for the replacement item at the appropriate cost.

    Your statutory rights are not affected.

    This applies to all of our products except for earrings and customised or commissioned items. Please note that, in compliance with the UK’s Health & Hygiene regulations, we cannot accept the return of earrings unless they were originally faulty. Otherwise, we can accept returns of complete product, which are unused, untainted by hairspray or perfume and in an "as new" condition. Please note that we reserve the right to refuse a claim for a return if we believe that a customer is taking advantage of this returns policy.

    When returning items please ensure that you include the original gift packaging and packing slip, that the items are suitably protected against damage in transit and that you use a suitable recorded and insured delivery service. Items must be received by us within 14 working days after the day of the date that the item was received by you.

    Refunds can only be given on items received by us. We will not accept any responsibility for the loss and/or damage of items in transit.

    To cancel your order, please contact us by phone or email. Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we sent the item to you in error or the item is faulty.

    Providing the items you return are unworn and in a re-saleable condition with the original packaging we will issue a full refund on the purchase price once we satisfactorily receive the returned goods and once the transaction has cleared through our bank. All refunds will be issued by the same payment method as that used to originally pay for the items. Please note that we are only able to process returns and refunds when dealing with the original purchaser of the goods.

    If your order has been confirmed but not yet dispatched, you can cancel or amend the order by emailing us at [email protected] or by telephoning 01743 369024. If your order has been dispatched you will need to return the items at your own expense to the address given below.

    In the unlikely event that a product is faulty please call us on 01743 369024 or email us at [email protected] and return the goods to us within 10 days of receiving the order. We will replace the item, send a replacement free of charge and refund your return postage costs. Refunds can only be given on items received by us. We suggest you use a form of recorded and insured delivery when returning items. Due to health and hygiene regulations earrings cannot be returned, under any circumstances, unless they were originally faulty. Return address as follows:

    Any complaints should be sent to us in writing at the address above, or by email to [email protected] We aim to handle any complaints as quickly, fairly and confidentially as possible.

    You are expected to exercise all appropriate precautions to ensure that the goods provided by Julieann  are used only for the purpose for which they were intended. Our products are not toys and whilst every care is taken in their manufacture they are, by definition, fragile and may be easily broken if mishandled. Further, it is obvious that component parts of each purchase may be readily detached unless handled properly and such component parts are extremely attractive to children. Care and common sense should be used to ensure that children in particular do not have access to any item or packaging that may result in them being harmed or injured in any way. Julieann cannot, and does not, accept any liability for any injury howsoever caused resulting from the supply or manufacture of any product.

    This website as a whole is protected by copyright and trade dress, all worldwide rights, titles and interests in and to which are owned by Julieann.

    The website design and all jewellery designs, images, photographs and text associated with www.julieannbird.co.uk are the property of Julieann Bird and cannot be copied, transmitted, published, displayed, distributed or commercially exploited or used in any way without previous written consent issued by Julieann and we claim and retain copyright.

    We may terminate or suspend any part of the Website at any time and without notice to you.

    We shall not be liable in respect of any shortage of or any failure to supply goods where such shortages or failure is due to Act of God, shortage of supply, riots, civil commotion, strikes, lock-outs, stoppages or restraint or withdrawal of labour for whatever cause whether partial or general or any other reason beyond the control of Julieann  and in such circumstances we shall not be liable in respect of any consequential loss to you.

    These terms and conditions form the basis of a contract under English and Welsh law. Your statutory rights under the law of England and Wales are not affected by these terms and conditions. If any provision within these Terms and Conditions shall be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms and Conditions and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining provisions.
